Afternoon gents and Ringer!
Bit of a Pro Evo update for you all.
Firstly it will be played on Pro Evo 6...and i'm going to win, and if i go out early i'm taking my disc and PS2 and going home...so there!
Venue-wise, Dean has hinted that he may be able to get a Church hall for us so i'll update further when i know more. to make this work though we're going to need three ps2's and three copies of pro evo6 (and 2 more tvs!) so assistance from you guys would be great!
It'll take place sometime in the new year, preferably on a Sunday when Arsenal,W-Ham,Spurs or the Champions don't have a game. again more info soon. (i need to look into it!)
It'll be £10 to enter, a certain amount will go to the winner the rest obviously to the club. we'll do a draw and have a big karate kid knock-out type table!
5 minute games, straight to pens. semis and final will be 10 minutes with extra time and pens.
everybody can choose their CLUB team.

wow it sounds like this event is seriously going to happen, how very super.
Just a few suggestions, I don't have a tv but I do have a projector (it isn't great quality but it sure is a lot lighter than dragging about a big old tv) plus there was also one at the race night too.
It might be worth thinking about this instead of televisions....I know because I've got mine all rigged up in my living room and it is so much more involving playing the game up on the big screen ?
Also, it might just be because i'm very rubbish at the game, I can barely score on the 10 minute game setting let alone having 5 minute games! it seems very short especially if it is an immediate knock-out situation.
How's it going to all work....
Are we considering qualification groups? That way you get a minimum of three or four games.
And how does the team selection work? Can you only have english teams, international clubs/national teams? And can two different people play with the same team?
I don't think your going to have any probs getting a hold of three ps2's or copies of the game. The only problem would be if the generous donater of said console gets knocked out early on.... I wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't go hame and sulk infont of PES, I know it's done the job the last three weeks any-how!

Matty lad lots of good points. your projector would be awesome mate, can we def use it?? i'm not going to be able to make training tomorrow (going to see We Are Scientists..oh yes!)so could you do me a favour and enquire about the projector from the race night?
the problem with 10minute games is getting everything finished before a reasonable hour! we've got to decide...either 5 minute games with extra time or 10 minute games straight to pens...what do you reckon?
the comp will be a straight knock-out thing, groups will take absolutely ages unfortunately.
teams can be chosen from all countries but must be CLUB teams. (two ppl can play with the same team)
Ppl that provide the PS2's can't sulk off, bad form and bad sportsmanship...take the stick and defeat like a man all of you! Sav
