New signing Ritchie Mambuini marked his debut with a hat-trick as Spartans got their season off to a winning start. Olympia played their part in an entertaining game in Enfield and took the lead in the 30th minute through George Michael. Spartans wasted no time in drawing level as Mambuini opened his account two minutes later. Olympia defender George Paraskeva was then sent off after he handled a goal-bound effort and Mambuini converted the resulting penalty. Spartans made it 3-1 in the second half as Mambuini lobbed Kyri Achilleas but Olympia refused to lay down. A long ball on 70 minutes found Michael Angeli who poked the ball passed the advancing 'keeper but it was to prove no more than a consolation as Spartans held on.

So, a good start to the season for the club, who will now look to build on the win against Pantel on the 21st September.
